Workspace 0.5.3 + Bookmarks Deiconizer Approved

Workspace 0.5.3 is released on AMO! One gotcha: If you’re running Firefox Beta 11 or under, you might want to wait for Beta 12 to come out before upgrading (which should be tagged for building today or tomorrow). If you’re on a nightly, you’ll want to upgrade right away. The reason for the fix is [...]

Workspace 0.4.4

Just a quick note to let people know that I’ve updated the Workspace extension recently. Added support for saving and loading files as well as a hotkey (F4) to open it from the browser. Many thanks to Erik Vold for some nice fixes and improvements! Install it here: http://antennasoft.net/addons/workspace.xpi.

Mozilla AllHands 2010 + Wikifytabs update

Every year we bring in Mozillians from around the globe to have a focused get-together. It’s a time when we can do some heavy planning, and brainstorm in one place. Often, some of the hallway conversations and parties generate good ideas. One conversation I had last night with Dietrich, Dolske and Mak was, how do [...]

extensions.checkCompatibility.version

I was surprised this morning when I did my update to today’s newest nightly of Namoroka and all of my extensions were disabled. I was extra-surprised when I tried enabling my extensions with Nightly Tester Tools and it didn’t work. Turns out that Mossop’s been busy implementing a patch for bug 521905. Now for version [...]

New Firediff Alpha

Kevin Decker has posted a new version of the Firediff extension for Firebug which he’s calling “a major milestone”. While still not producing unified patches you can apply directly to your source code, it does create a “serialized version of the page state” you can then manually apply. Firediff Snapshot + Diff Generation – In [...]

I found a cool little feature this morning while poking around in Firebug’s command line code. If you expand the Console’s command line to the large area (using the little up arrow on the right of the command line), you can enter a block of text, nicely formatted. This is probably not news to anyone. [...]

FireDiff extension for Firebug

Kevin Decker’s FireDiff extension for Firebug is 0.1 old! It’s still new, but could be the beginning of a one-stop-shop for getting diffs for changes to locally-modified DOM and CSS from Firebug. You can grab it from the above link or browse the source code in Firebug’s svn repository. You will need Firebug 1.4a17 or [...]

Add-ons I can’t roll without

Deb posted an excellent run-down the other day about 20 top-notch add-ons ready for Firefox 3. I thought I’d do a quick write-up about a few of the add-ons I find invaluable too (and more-or-less ready for Firefox 3.0). Note that there may be some overlap here and that some of these add-ons are considered [...]
